As a distinguished Mathematician and Physicist she certainly has an understanding for formulae; which she has even applied to her personal style. She has rationed all variety by committing to her signature (The Chancellor of Germany uniform) consisting of a brightly coloured jacket, simple neclace, black pants and low heels. She has well kinda added various colors to her blazers. She has subtracted skirts, which equals a no nonsense, consistent and prudent straight forward look.

Yeah, so she is not the quintessential ‘stylesista' and she is usually a fashion victim as opposed to a fashion victor; However in her defense there is a reason why she is the is the most powerful woman in the world and appears on our very first ALPHA BEST feature.

We at Good Girl Global wish to profile exceptional and inspirational woman and are fighting for them to have optimal influence over society and there truly is no other woman who is worthy of leading our 'Alpha-Best' this than the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Why do we need to be Influenced by women of Substance and Integrity?

Girls, you GOTTA try this... When you ask anyone this question; 'Who do you want to become' the response is usually somebody aspirational right? (Think Beauty pagents, where girls want to be Nelson Mandela, Oprah Winfrey and more recently Michelle Obama); However when you ask them who they are following on Twitter, there is a notable digression. If we all (and this is a genralisation "want to be Oprah") then why does she only rank at number 20 on Twitters most followed list? I had to step back and look at who ranked above her and I had to ask myself whether these are people that I aspire to become and the people that I wish to have an influence over me.

I wannabe like Barack Obama people will say Bill Gates is the richest man in the world, he is a great aspirational figure others will root for the Dalai Lama as an advocate for non violence however these three figures have a ranking of 3, 28 and 99 respectively. So if they are who we wish to become then why are we not following them? Who are we following? Who are we allowing to influence our lives?

I personally had my 'Aha' moment last year when someone asked me who Christine Lagarde was, further on in the exact same general Knowledge Quiz I had to forfeit on a question on Dilma Rouseff. I did not know who Sheryl Sandberg or Indra Nooyi were however according to 'my so called aspirations' these women represent who I wish to become. With this being said there are numerous celebrated personalities whom I know the lines/ lyrics to their songs, how much they weigh and what ensembles that they were wearing in 2011. So my Aha moment became an Ahahaha moment when I asked myself Are these personalities contributing to my growth and development as a person? Why am I spending so much time obsessing over them and their lifestyles?

These are just a handful of her numerous accolades.

In profiling one of the most effectives leaders in the world we wish to have a look at her leadership style. Angela Merkel is not a Charasmatic Leader so how does she make up for that. Angela has secured an almost absolute popularity rating of 75%, making her one of the country’s most popular leaders ever. Over and above she also won a third term in office. So how does she do it? I like to call it 'Merc-el' 'Das Beste oder nicht's - translated as 'The best or nothing'; Pragmatic and methodical. When asked about her leadership style, she personally describes it as "think, consult and then decide". This strategy has enabled her to improve Germany's economy which include reducing unemployment from five year lows and an improved economic growth. Her consultative nature is seen in how she is values the opinions of her opposition and consistently seeks the middle ground. It should be no constertation that she is faithful to her own political ideals and upholds her beliefs, she is inclusive and democratic in her approach of considering the concerns of her opposition. A leadership style that has given credibility to her power as it considers the needs of others and benefits the greater humanity..... Inspiring...
